Miriam Traher is based in Middlesex County, Ontario. By nature Traher is nurturer, using her hands to garden and grow, create new patterns and shapes and colours. Painting and creating are Tracer's ways of communicating; "I am not a writer and writing can be very difficult for me. Spelling escapes me, but colours and movement and brush strokes and mark-making is how I tell my story, how I express my thoughts and feelings day by day."
Starting to paint and follow her creative spark lead Traher on a creative journey. Her paintings and new outlook on the world have now lead her to other avenues—designing a line of children’s clothing, designing and building her family's dream home and continuing to work in the garden. Still, Traher finds there is always something that draws her to painting, her need to be in-front of a blank canvas and my brush letting her creativity flow.
