Collection: Laura Taylor-Shields
Laura Taylor-Shields is a local artist from Uxbridge, Ontario. A multi-talent artist and maker. Painting in three mediums, jewelry made from beads, crystals and chainmaille and a variety of needle art. Laura worked in a high stress occupation as a 911 dispatcher, Laura uses her creative talents as a form of stress relief. Her inspiration comes often from her travels.
Laura can often be found using her talents to help her community and local organizations in fun new in ways. Laura created the Uxbridge Poppy Project in 2021. The project is a collaborative community effort of makers of corchet and knitted poppies. Laura created many displays thru town to honour our veterans past, and present. Laura will create Poppy related items and painting to sell, to raise money for the Uxbridge Legion Poppy Campaign each year.
