Collection: Kate Greenway

Kate creates most often in watercolour, and in glass – fused, stained and mosaic – frequently combining mixed media and photo-transfer elements. Her favourite subjects to paint are flora, fauna, and landscapes. Kate completed a Masters and Ph.D. in Arts Education with both projects including original glass art. Her Masters’ thesis “The Brooch of Bergen Belsen” was awarded top graduate thesis and her artworks were displayed and donated to the Holocaust Survivors’ Speakers Bureau in the Bronx, N.Y. She was recently awarded both the Silver and Gold Artist award by ArtAscent Magazine.

Her ongoing “Sunflower Series” is a project creating images of sunflowers in all media, including glass mosaic, where a portion of proceeds is donated to the Canada Ukraine Fund in support of humanitarian relief.

Latest solo exhibits include the Ruth Upjohn Gallery, Toronto; Cedar Ridge Creative Centre, Scarborough; Mill Pond Gallery, Richmond Hill; Toronto Public Libraries, and Flato Theatre, Markham. She also has upcoming solo exhibits at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, the Ruth Upjohn Gallery, Expresso 21, Toronto, and Peter Street Gallery, Orillia. She has exhibited across Canada in group shows.
