Collection: Janet Clattenburg
Janet (Yockell) Clattenburg, born in Welland Ontario. Moved to Port Medway Nova Scotia in 1980 with her husband and two young children. Clattenburg has delved in art her whole life, but took it seriously after her children were grown. Clattenburg has held a few solo shows and many fundraising art shows.Clattenburg works in watercolours, acrylics, oils and ink, enjoying the flexibility each medium gives her to create her works.
Clattenburg is a member of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, The International Watercolour Society, and The Medway Head Lighthouse Society.
Clattenburg is a self- taught Artis though she has attended workshops at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center in Florida. Clattenburg had planned on attending the Accademia Del Giglio in Florence, Italy but due to the pandemic that was cancelled.
Clattenburg also started to teach some children acrylic painting and has encouraged them to participate in the Local Lighthouse Art Show, inspring the next generation of artists.
