Collection: Heather Howald
Heather Howald is a mixed media artist who divides her time between studios in Mississauga and Parry Sound in Ontario, Canada. Her current work is focused on florals where she uses her love of colour, shape, and line to convey feelings of playfulness and happiness in her paintings.
Heather began drawing, painting, and making at an early age but left painting to pursue other life experiences. She has followed a demanding career as an educator and is a passionate advocate for children with special education and mental health needs.
In 2019, the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic spurred Heather to return to her painting as a means to express her hope and joy in life. Her art is focused on play and discovery and her goal is to provide viewers with an escape into bright colourful moments of fun through experiencing her art.
