Collection: Darlene Mann
Darlene Mann currently resides in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, Canada, a creative outlet for the many visions Mann has for paintings and sculptures.
Mann's dreams of creating through both 2D and 3D mediums finally became a reality since her retirement in 2014. Mann now gets to enjoy more time painting.
Being a dental technician for 38 years meant designing and fabricating porcelain and gold crowns, implants and veneers for teeth. This gave Mann the experience of working in very fine detail. In a dental practice Mann would create custom shade the patients restorations for a perfect match - something she is able to apply to her paintings and sculptures today.
Mann's love for drawing and creating started as a young girl, but 30 years ago she painted my first acrylic on canvas of wolves. Since then Mann has continued to paint what she loves most: wildlife. Of course this includes pets, scenery and the beauty of nature that surrounds her.
Mann has displayed at various local galleries throughout the Durham and Kawartha Regions. Mann is also an active part of the Victoria County Studio Tour.
"...Making people smile as their “interior decorator“ gave me much pleasure, and I hope to continue to make smiles by sharing my artwork."
