“One of my first fully abstract intuitive paintings, Up has shown me how important it is for an artist to trust the process of creation. I may never know how the painting will look until it is basically complete. And that is okay. I consider myself a channel for creation, not an individual who just wants to be an artist. Whatever needs to be created will be, and it is up to me to relinquish judgment, trust my creator, and be open to what comes.”
