"Born Glasgow, Scotland. Lives and works in Toronto, Canada and Glasgow, Scotland. Aefa is an illustrator, printmaker and writer who loves woodland and marine creatures. She has an MFA in creative writing from the University of Guelph and a graduate diploma in digital design from Toronto Image Works. Aefa has worked on projects from designing snowglobes for galleries, musicians, performers and the UK’s Channel 4 to painting murals for children with illustrator Jan Pieńkowski. Her work has been exhibited at galleries including Northern Contemporary, Propeller Gallery and Gallery 1313, all in Toronto, and the Hidden Lane Gallery in Glasgow.
