Stoneground - Delft Blue Hue(Synthetic - Half Pan)

This deep blue-grey is our go-to favourite for moody skies, stormy seascapes, and dark shadows. A wonderful addition to any palette for landscape, botanical, still life, and illustration work, Delft Cobalt Blue is beautiful when used full strength or in subtle washes.

Artist’s Notes: Delft Blue mixes well with other colours and is useful for depicting the natural blue-greys found in nature as well as mountains and distant hills.

Paint Maker’s Notes: these types of traditional pigments were popular among the Impressionists and can be found in the works of Renoir and Monet.
