Dory by Fred Fowler

Northwestern Ontario is Fred Fowler’s original home and the foundation for his lifelong inspiration for art. He studied art at “The Chicago Academy of Fine Art” in Chicago and ‘The Three Schools’ in Toronto. Over the years, he joined many art organizations and participated in many art workshops and art exhibitions. Fred was the president of the Rideau Lakes Artists’ Association for 6 years. Fred creates art using many different styles and techniques and mediums. Currently his preference is painting realistic images using acrylic paint on canvas or board. Referring to his large photo collection gathered on his travels in and around rural Ontario for inspiration. “I seek to create artwork that is well crafted, done with a ‘good eye’, artwork that works technically, is visibly desirable and will tell a tale that will emotionally move the viewer.”
