Our Place by Wendy Wilson

Wendy Wilson loves showcasing white pine from the Georgian Bay/Muskoka regions in her artwork. When she was young, the Lake Joseph Muskoka cottage was where she spent her summers. It was here that she discovered quilting at a young age and that grew her love for the arts. When it came time to choose a career, the jobs for teachers were in music. Wendy became a vocal and instrumental music teacher with PDSB and each day was full of music happiness. Painting was also included as she painted the backdrops for all of the musicals.

Now, her home is on an island in Georgian Bay surrounded by white pine. Wendy’s art studio is next to the lake and her adventures mountain biking and boating give her inspiration to paint in explosions of colour with a touch of whimsy. She works in oil, acrylic and mixed media. She has collectors of her artwork worldwide. The need to paint and express thoughts and feelings are inside her and she loves what she’s doing every day.
