From the artist: "It's a capture I made just after moving to Brampton, 30 years ago, January 1996.  I was exploring my new 'hood and chasing this
incredible sunset going north up Kennedy Road, and stopped just south of King Side Road [which is in Caledon].  There wasn't much development there so I got a chance to see more sky wo houses cluttering that magnificent sky.  These poplar trees with their upright limb growth patterns looked like they were almost in supplication. After playing around with names I went with Crimson Glory.  It was some of the last Kodachrome 64 slide film that I had for shooting with my Pentax K1000, using my 100 Takumar Macro lens.  It was some of my favourite shooting conditions - low-angled light of sunset, hand-held, available light.  That Pentax of course was all manual settings; if in doubt, I would bracket my shots.  It did have a battery for the light meter in it.  There is now a large extension of Brampton and Caledon in that area now - no more poplar trees, I've looked. My slides and a number of my B&W negatives have been commercially scanned at 3600 dpi.  That allows for great flexibility and wonderful quality of rendered work on different strata."
