Expertly crafted by artist Doug Johnson, this Black and Yellow Sunflower Vase is both functional and beautiful. 100% food-safe this vase features a slip glaze on the outside.  To create the end piece the whole pot after being thrown is then dipped into a colour glaze (yellow) and then the pattern is carefully etched in to revel the coloured clay below.  

This vase is not only perfect for displaying your favourite flowers but also can be used as a coffee cup - the neck being the perfect size to wrap your hand around - who said you need handles?

The intricate sgraffito technique and sunflower pattern add a unique touch and wonderful texture, wrapping around the entire piece and even appearing on the bottom.
