In 2008, Quebec City celebrated it's 400th anniversary. We planned a mini holiday along with 3 million other visitors to celebrate the event which included a free epic concert by Paul McCartney on the Plains of Abraham. We also attended an amazing fireworks display at Montmorency Falls Park near the old part of the city on the St Lawrence River.
So it's no surprise that my selection for a scene representing the Province of Quebec would include Quebec City the Old Town. Such a charming place to visit. Most buildings in the historic district are from the 19th century but older architecture includes buildings from the 1600s.
