Escape Peak by Mark Cruxton

Cruxton's digital abstract experiments use photographic imagery and handcrafted graphic elements to create interesting ethereal scenes based on real and perceived places and locations. Capturing a digital moment in time formed from many layers, Cruxton likes to use industrial and architectural photographic images to replace the natural world, often mixing in various textures, lines and geometric shapes to create his abstract scenes and constructed landscape environments.

His labour-intensive digital photo collages use digital technology as part of his creative and presentation process challenging the boundaries between artistic mediums. Creating original digital artwork provides Cruxton the opportunity to produce one single piece or various print editions. It is also a natural progression in a sustainable art practice generating zero art material waste. His work uses museum quality canvas, high quality photographic print papers and water based, eco-friendly inks.
