Collection: Allison Barrow
Allison Barrow is an impressionist artist that captures brilliance and bold brush strokes in watercolour. She is an avid plein air painter and her energy speaks to an emotional connection that translates a narrative of calm, sparkle and gratitude through the theme of landscape.
Residing in the small town of Goodwood, Ontario, Allison loves the fields and trails that surround her. Inspiration unfolds as she expresses her love for the North, European scenery and can’t resist a bustling street vignette. Allison’s paintings reflect her vision of life; they evoke extraordinary memories of tradition, celebration and the simple but exquisite joys of life.
From 2020 to present, Allison has participated in the Square Foot Show hosted by Julia Veenstra, the Pi Art Squared show by Kate Taylor, accepted for shows, both local and International, and sits on the inaugural show committee to promote makers and artists on Kashagawigamog Lake. She is a member of Mastrius (formerly LevellingUp Mentoring Community) and holds memberships with the Uxbridge Artists, Scugog Arts and the Women’s Art Association of Canada. Her plans for 2022 include co-hosting a beginner Art conversation event, navigating an online gallery presentation with a beloved group of artists and curating her own “Fifty Two Peonies” project at the Festival of Peonies in Oshawa, ON this spring.
Her work is hung in private collections across Canada and can been seen in local exclusive businesses in both Markham and Toronto, ON.
